Real stories
A look at how our care has supported families across the West Midlands.

75 years old, Sutton Coldfield - Live-in care
Dianne is 75 years old and lives on her own in Sutton Coldfield. She had been getting some help from her family, but she is partially sighted and had been diagnosed with early stage dementia. Her family had become concerned about her high levels of confusion; they weren't sure whether she was going to be safe living alone but knew she'd enjoy a better quality of life if she remained in the home she loved. So they decided that the best option was to provide Dianne with live-in care.

73 years old, Dudley - Companionship & respite
Our social companionship service is most matched to individuals who will benefit from having the encouragement that someone is there with them to offer support when it is required. It also provides peace of mind for family members who are unable to regularly visit, as they know their loved one is being cared for.

Live-in care“Mum was diagnosed with early dementia last year and we were terrified she'd have to leave her home in Edgbaston. Clements arranged live-in care within ten days. Her carer Emily knows her routines, her tea preferences, even which soap opera she won't miss. Mum is still in the house she's lived in for forty-three years — and that's worth everything to us.”
James Harper
Son
Personal care at home“Dad came home from University Hospital Coventry frail and disorientated. We rang Clements on the Tuesday and had the same two carers at the door Thursday morning. They didn't just do personal care — they helped him rebuild confidence walking to the garden. Six months on, he's back to pottering in the greenhouse.”

Domiciliary care“We asked for a carer who could speak Gujarati and understood halal dietary needs for our mother in Handsworth. Other agencies made it sound difficult. Clements matched us in under a week. Mum actually waits by the window when she knows her carer is coming — that tells you everything.”
David Kumar
Husband & carer
Direct payments support“My wife has MS and I was her sole carer in Wyken, running on empty. Clements helped us navigate direct payments without the usual council confusion. Having reliable cover three mornings a week meant I could sleep properly for the first time in two years.”
Claire Watkins
Daughter
Companionship“Dad lives alone in Erdington since we lost Mum. He was skipping meals and barely leaving the house. His companion from Clements takes him to Perry Barr market every Thursday and checks he's eating properly. The change in him over three months has been remarkable — he's joking again.”
Helen Richards
Daughter
Live-in care“We spoke to three agencies before choosing Clements for live-in care in Allesley. They were the only ones who itemised exactly what we'd pay each week — no vague 'from' pricing. Our carer Sarah has been with us eight months now and Mum trusts her completely.”
